Mini-Retreat; Changing Habits

 Are you tired of the same old patterns tripping you up as you walk the road of life?

Here’s your chance to let go of the habits holding your back, and replace them with a new, dynamic and empowered YOU.

This session will include a Dru Yoga sequence to help free negative emotions, thoughts and habits that are often trapped in the physical body. You will then relax into a deep restorative savasana. This will allow the 'new you' to settle in your body.

There will be time to journal freely about the things you want to release and the look and feel of the 'new you'.

The session will conclude with a sitting meditation.

Class format

  • The session begins with gentle activations to relax and warm the body, then moves to quieter, reflective asana work with a Dru Energy Block Release Sequence
  • You will then be guided into Restorative Yoga poses. Props will be used to support your body and allow deep rest
  • There will be a focus on gentle pranayama (breathing) practices to help focus the mind on the present moment
  • Once the body and mind are relaxed and rested, you are more like to sit comfortably in meditation

Suitability

  • This class is suitable for the following:
    • mother’s at least three months post-natal
    • anyone 16 years and older
    • those able to climb the stairs to the yoga studio
    • those able to get up and down from the floor
  • This class is not suitable for pregnant women

Class Size

  • Numbers are limited to 8 people
  • Jane Welsh is my assistance. Jane is passionate about Dru and Restorative Yoga and is presently training to be a Dru Yoga Teacher

Equipment

  • All equipment is supplied. This includes yoga mats, blankets, blocks, bolsters
  • You are welcome to bring a favourite bolster or eye pillow should you have one
  • In the colder months you will be asked to bring extras to ensure your warmth e.g. woollen blanket, scarf

What to Wear

  • Loose, comfortable clothes
  • Track pants/tights & T shirt
  • In winter, wear layers to ensure your warmth

Digestion

It is best not eat a main meal 2 hours prior to the class, however a light snack is fine

Arrival

Please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes to allow time to settle

  • Bookings are essential 
  • Your booking will be confirmed via email
  • Full payment is due one week prior to the class
  • Cancellation policy: 48 notice for full refund, no refund with less than 48 hours notice unless your place can be filled by another participant

Parking

Macquarie Chambers has a large parking space at the rear of the building. Entrance to the carpark is via Bligh Street and is adjacent to the Amaroo Hotel carpark. Entrance to the Macquarie Chambers by the back door
