Hi. I’m Cath and this is my story.
I grew up in a hard working, farming family on the central western plains of NSW, Australia.
Drawn to the caring professions, I trained in nursing, midwifery, women’s health and counselling, developing a strong interest in holistic health.
My love affair with yoga began in my 30’s when I attended my first yoga class. Over time I learnt that simple yoga practices calmed my anxieties, my self doubts and built an inner strength and resilience.
Wanting to know more about the ancient art of yoga I trained to be a Yoga Teacher and went on to develop specialist classes with pre & post-natal women. In recent times I’ve begun to focus more on the relaxation response and offer classes with Dru Yoga & Meditation and Restorative Yoga.
Now, entering the Crone Age, I prefer to take time to pursue personal longings - camping, travelling, creative writing, singing, reading. My yoga teaching is now very much part-time with blocks of classes sprinkled throughout my calendar.
I now live in Beechworth, Victoria with my partner Chris, our cat Deva and four chooks. My favourite pass time is swinging in the hammock in our beautiful yard with a spicy book and freshly brewed cardamom coffee.
